Wolves Edge New Prairie for Third Win, Now 3-1 on the Season The Michigan City Wolves boys tennis team improved to 3-1 on the year tonight, earning a 3-2 victory over New Prairie. Behind two strong singles performances and a decisive win at No. 1 doubles, the Wolves secured their third win of the young season. At No. 1 singles, Riley Emshwiller-Sowards continued his excellent form, posting a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win. Jacob Hazel followed with another strong effort at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-1, 6-2 victory. At No. 3 singles, Carson Groszek battled hard before dropping a 6-2, 6-3 match. Dominating at No. 1 doubles, Thomas Chatfield and Nic Williams came off the courts with a sharp 6-4, 6-0 win. At No. 2 doubles, Eli Green and Zach Williams fell 6-2, 6-1 against a tough New Prairie pair. In junior varsity action: New Prairie over Aeden Phillips 8-0 at No. 1 singles. Jaren Swindell over New Prairie at No. 2 singles 8-3. New Prairie over Finn Hendricks at No. 3 singles 8-3.
