The Michigan City Girls Golf team traveled to Sherwood Golf Course to take on Merrillville and Valparaiso. City fell to Valpo 174-266. Valpo's Kennedy Gutierrez was medalist with 39. Leading the way for the Wolves was Emma Nelson with 64. Rounding out the scoring for City was Abigail Shanks 66, Haley Barnes and Olivia DeMartinis with 68 each, and Isabella Serrano 71. City's Makenna Nowatzke is out with a knee injury. The Wolves tied the Merrillville Pirates at 266. City lost on the fifth score by one stroke. MCHS falls to (0-3, and 0-2 DAC). Up next for our lady Wolves is Marquette at Municipal North Course on Monday, August 25th. This is a rain makeup from last Tuesday.
