Per the IHSAA, each member school shall observe a moratorium period starting on Monday of the week which includes July 4 (June 28 – July 5, 2026). During this seven-day period, there shall be no contact between athletes and coaches, and no athletic activities, including conditioning, conducted. In addition, each member school shall also designate five additional separate weekdays in which there shall be no contact between athletes, coaches, and no athletic activities, including conditioning, conducted. Michigan City HS has designated the following five additional dates for the Summer of 2026: 7/6, 7/10, 7/24, 7/27 and 7/31. Again, there should be contact with coaches during this time by families or student-athletes and no use of MCHS Athletic Facilities. Be sure to enjoy the mid-summer break!
