For the first time this season, the Michigan City Track and Field coaches would like to recognize two pack leaders. Veronica Barnes and Gavin Crump have exemplified leadership and the Wolfie Way by showing sportmanship and character so far this season. Gavin was nominated by Coach Booker, who said, "Gavin has consistently shown great sportsmanship and has a postitive attitude and respect toward his teammates and competitors. He always represents our team well and brings encouraging energy wherever he goes." Veronica was nominated by Coach Parry, who said, "Veronica is always very encouraging of her teammates as well as those she is competing against. She will do just about anything for a teammate, including sharing her spikes with multiple teammates in the same meet. At a recent meet, Veronica sought out the coach from the other team just to let him know how much she appreciated the support from his athletes. I am proud to call Veronica one of my athletes." Congratulations to Veronica and Gavin! You make MC proud!
