Varsity vs Chesterton High School The Michigan City High School girls swim team delivered an encouraging performance in their meet against Chesterton High School, marked by strong individual swims, new event opportunities, and noticeable time improvements. Throughout the meet, the Wolves competed with energy and determination, reflecting the team’s continued growth this season. Sprint events highlighted the depth of the girls team, particularly in the 50-yard freestyle. Audrey Hardacker raced to a third-place finish, while Olivia Swistek followed closely in fourth. Both swimmers demonstrated quick starts and strong finishes, showing continued improvement in one of the fastest events of the meet. Emmaleigh Kempf turned in a strong performance in the 100-yard butterfly, placing fourth in a physically demanding race. Her consistency and technique in the fly continue to improve, making her a reliable competitor in one of swimming’s toughest strokes. The 100-yard breaststroke featured solid efforts from Maddy Parry and Olivia Swistek. Parry finished fourth with a composed and efficient race, while Swistek placed fifth while competing in the breaststroke for the first time in her high school career. Her willingness to step into a new event was a major positive for the team. The girls closed the meet with an impressive swim in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The relay team of Maddy Parry, Emmaleigh Kempf, Olivia Swistek, and Audrey Hardacker cut nearly a full second off their previous time.
