Varsity vs Chesterton High School The Michigan City High School boys swim team put together a strong night of racing in their meet against Chesterton High School, highlighted by standout individual performances, depth across events, and excellent relay execution. The Wolves demonstrated focus and competitiveness throughout the meet, showing the results of consistent work in practice. Senior leader Jaren Swindell anchored the boys team with an exceptional performance. Swindell captured first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.70 seconds, showcasing power, control, and efficiency in the water. He followed that race with an equally impressive swim in the 200-yard individual medley, matching the same time and proving his versatility across all four strokes. Jayce Swindell added to the team’s success with a strong third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. His speed off the blocks and ability to maintain form through the finish made for one of the most exciting sprint races of the night. Jayce’s performance reflected continued improvement and confidence in high-pressure situations. Sam Miltenberger also delivered a solid effort, placing fourth in the 100-yard freestyle. His race demonstrated strong pacing and endurance, contributing valuable points and setting a positive tone for the middle-distance events. One of the highlights of the meet came in the boys 200-yard freestyle relay. The relay team of Sam Miltenberger, Jayce Swindell, Michael Hoppe, and Jaren Swindell combined for a second-place finish with a time of 1:42.57. Smooth exchanges and consistent splits allowed the Wolves to compete stride for stride throughout the race. Overall, the boys' team displayed leadership, teamwork, and steady progress across the lineup. With experienced seniors leading the way and younger swimmers stepping up in key events, the Wolves continue to build momentum and confidence as the season moves forward.
